Taken two weekends ago in the parking lot for Fulton Mansion in Fulton, Texas. We were arriving to take a tour of the mansion when a storm front rolled in and I grabbed a few shots before the rain started. To me this oak tree was amazing, not so much for its size, but for the intricate patterns formed by its limbs. It reminds me, except for its size of course, of an ancient Bonsai tree.

You sure did capture a lot of the activity in the sky. The light on the larger limbs gives the impression that the sun is still shining.
Nice shot Barry. Definetly a cool tree with a great branch stucture captured at a great moment in time. Just think if it had been a lone hilltop tree!!
Thanks Wayne and Larry!
Wayne - At the time I took the shot the clouds associated with the front hadn't blocked the sun yet. About 15 seconds later all was dark!
Cheers!
