Another nice mimimalistic shot. The negative space and texture on this one do an excellent job of conveying a sense of isolation to the subject.
I think this shot does a good job portraying an older photo by the effective use of the texture.
This image does have lots of negative space --- have you ever tried Steve's cloud brushes? Or maybe layer in another sky with some clouds. I think the bare trees help make this image have more of a minimal look. I wonder about cropping in a little from each side though...not enough to crop out the posts in the water, but I think it could come in on each side and down from the top some.
Thanks Larry, Doug and Cindi!
Cindi - I was trying to go for a minimalistic photo here and my feeble attempt to do so was to include a lot of negative space. Not sure if that makes the photo minimalistic or not. What do you think?
Cheers!

The texture adds to this one. It seems to make the whole scene appear even more bleak. Good job.
Yes, I can see where you were going with this to be a minimalism-type of image. I just wonder if there is too much going on around the lighthouse though, with all the trees, houses, poles, especially on the left. If you could take this same shot in the fog, or do some Photoshop magic like I know you can, then I think it would have more of that vibe. I need to look up exactly what the term minimalism means, because I may be off in my interpretation.
Thanks Patrick and Cindi!
Cindi - I think you are right; the subject needs to be simpler for this to be taken as an example of minimalism.
Thanks for the feedback!
Cheers!
