Taken on the beach in Galveston last Sunday. I took this shot intending to push in toward high key in post-processing. I'm don't think I actuall got there but I like the results anyway.

A little too much negative space. Also, having two subjects, while one is OOF, still does not let the eyes settle on just one.
I agree with Doug-- a little too much negative space. I was playing around with a crop that would crop down and eliminate the top half of the bird above and a little from the right. I think showing only part of the back bird might add some mystery to the image.
I do like how you controlled your depth of field to draw my attention to the main subject.

Looks like I still have some work to do on this one! After I looked at is some more I thought it might also benefit from one additional gull (an odd number of subjects being better than an even number and all that).
