#701. Police

I'm off to Keels and Wheels this morning! Keels and Wheels is an annual event showcasing antique and classic boats (keels) and automobiles (wheels). I entered this photo in a contest sponsored by the event and The Arts Alliance Center of Clear Lake and earned an Honorable Mention. The photo, along with 10 others will be on display at the event today and tomorrow and then sometime later at TAACCL.

#699. Craftsman at Work

Another shot taken this past weekend while on the Bay Area Photo Club's field trip to Galveston for location portrait work. This wasn't one of the models that were recruited for the event but rather a gentleman who works for Gately Paper Company where the shoot took place. He was nice enough to allow me to take a few snaps of him while he practiced some fishing rod repairs.

#698. Skateborder

Yesterday the Bay Area Photo Club organized a photo shoot for its members at Gately Paper Company in Galveston, TX. This skateboarder was one of the models enlisted to allow for practice with taking action shots. I would have liked a little more sharpness in the overall image but the results are pretty cool regardless, mainly because of the intensity of the young mans facial expression.

#697. Martha's Bloomers

Taken last weekend as we passed through Navasota, Texas. Martha's Bloomers is a Nursery and Tea Room. It's an interesting place to visit if you happen to be on the road between College Station and Houston.

#696. For the if in Life

It seems like I went for years without seeing a blimp and then last weekend I saw this one everywhere I went.

#693. Big Feet

Taken a couple of weekends ago at Maas Nursery in Seabrook, Texas. You can always find something interesting at Maas Nursery. This time it was pots shaped like feet; BIG feet, like three times the size of a normal persons feet.

#692. Outside the Shrine by the Bay

Here an exterior shot of the shrine featured in yesterday's post. It's hard to imagine that everything shown in yesterday's interior shot fit into a structure that looks so small from the outside.
