#505. Ferry Gulls

Taken last Sunday from the Galveston / Bolivar Point Ferry. Folks on the back of the ferry were feeding the seagulls and if you look closely you can see one of the birds about to snag a peanut!

Nice shot.

Typically sea gull shots aren't as interesting, but this one does stand out both in composition and the extra little peanut :-)

Cheers,
Jan

For some reason this photo reminds me of my photo of the shrimp boat rigging. In both it is hard to really find the subject. I like the chaos, which is what I think sea gulls remind me of, that the photo shows. I also like how you broke the rule by centering the gulls and also cutting some of them off in the composition.

Nice sharp image with great colors and composition. I like the way this image starts out hectic and muted at the bottom and becomes calm and saturated at the top. To me this one has the artistic edge over yesterdays gull posting.

Thanks Jan, Patrick and Larry!

I think we have a clear winner between #505 and #504! :-)

Cheers!
