NY Streets

One of the most fascinating things about New York City is the people always present on Manhattan streets; a street photographers dream come true!

I like them both. I think the choises of black and white and a slanted horizon work well on both shots.

Barry, the best part about street photography there in Manhattan is they don't even give you a second look! These shots look great in black in white. Really adds to the gritty of the streets. Too bad you can add smell! Know what I mean?

Good use of black and white for this subject--it just seems to work. I like both of these shots because they look like every day life in a big city. The compositions are straight forward and you can readily identify what the photographer wants you to view.

Shirley - I don't have any memory of any specific smells in NY and my guess is that that is a good thing! :-)

Patrick - I like the shots for the same reasons you point out. Whatever else you can say about New York it is definitely fascinating!
