One of the most fascinating things about New York City is the people always present on Manhattan streets; a street photographers dream come true!

I like them both. I think the choises of black and white and a slanted horizon work well on both shots.
Thanks Larry!
I wish I would have spent more time just hanging around and photographing folks as they took care of their affairs.
Cheers!

Barry, the best part about street photography there in Manhattan is they don't even give you a second look! These shots look great in black in white. Really adds to the gritty of the streets. Too bad you can add smell! Know what I mean?
Good use of black and white for this subject--it just seems to work. I like both of these shots because they look like every day life in a big city. The compositions are straight forward and you can readily identify what the photographer wants you to view.
Good job!
Thanks Shirley and Patrick!
Shirley - I don't have any memory of any specific smells in NY and my guess is that that is a good thing! :-)
Patrick - I like the shots for the same reasons you point out. Whatever else you can say about New York it is definitely fascinating!
Cheers!
Barry
