Balancing Act
Today's posting is of an image I made for the Bay Area Photo Club's February Honors Night held last night. The Assignment was for a Surreal Composite. I haven't done many composites and so I was excited that this Assignment gave me motivation to try something outside of my photographic comfort zone. Once I had a concept the execution was actually quite fun! :-) And...I received a Gold award for my efforts!

Well done! I didn't get to look at this last night while at the meeting. You did a super job coming up with this idea for a composite.
Nice, well balanced exposure and composition. Love the added shadow under the little guy sitting.

Good job with achieving your vision. Nice image.
Very well executed! I like all the little detail that makes it work - the fact the bottom three guys look up while the top guy looks down, how the little guys are on the left 1/3, and your eye in the 3rd power point. There are a lot of subtle composition elements that really make this work. If I wanted to nit-pick, I'd say that the bottom most guy should have switched his legs to keep the dynamic towards the center of the image.

Jan - The one time I tried posing these guys there was an accident, a fall, and one of the five guys was injured! :( After that I just let them do their own thing! :-)
