St. Mary's - Praha - Interior

Here are a couple of shots of the interior of St. Marys Church in Praha, Texas. This is one of the "Painted Churches of Texas" famous for their elaborately hand painted ceilings and details. When you look at the exterior of this church (yesterday's post) you don't really imagine an interior like this do you?

Pretty amazing! So the stripes are painted on, not wood strips? Do they know who did the painting? That is some chandelier! I have never been in these painted churches but of course have heard of them --- thanks for the peeks inside.

Both are nice shots while my fav is the up shot focussing on the chandelier. Another great application for HDR!

I never would have thought green, that's for sure. Nice job with the HDR, not over the top, just well done.
