Still playing around with making composites of photos taken two weekends ago at the Texas Pipe Eclectic Menagerie Park in Houston, Texas.

#817. Pipe Dreams - Eagle Flight

Taken this past weekend at the Texas Pipe Eclectic Menagerie Park in Houston, Texas. I had fun taking the photos but really couldn't think of anything to do with the results except composite them into some new scenes I must only have imagined.

Post-processing: Photomatix Pro to combine three exposures (-2, 0, +2) into one HDR (High Dyanamic Range) image > Photoshop CS4 > Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 plugin

#679. Its All About Me

Taken this past weekend at one of my old reliable shooting locations: Maas Nursery in Seabrook, Texas. This is actually a composite of two shots; one to get the frame in focus and one to get the subject in the mirror in focus.

#558. Training Day

This was one of the images I presented at our Bay Area Photo Club meeting tonight. I entered this photo for the assignment which was "Humorous". I made a not so subtle editorial statement with the photo (all in good fun of course) but to their credit the judges gave the photo a Gold Award!

And now for something completely different....

Balancing Act

Today's posting is of an image I made for the Bay Area Photo Club's February Honors Night held last night. The Assignment was for a Surreal Composite. I haven't done many composites and so I was excited that this Assignment gave me motivation to try something outside of my photographic comfort zone. Once I had a concept the execution was actually quite fun! :-) And...I received a Gold award for my efforts!

Near Times Square

Taken from the top of a tour bus while visiting NYC this past May. The original sky in this photo was solidly light blue and did nothing for the photo. I took the photo toward the surreal by replacing the flat blue sky with an image of the surface of swimming pool. You may or may not like the end result but to me it is much more interesting than the unaltered image. I hope you like it! :-)

Mega City

Looking at the photo I posted the day before yesterday I decided that "my town" wasn't big enough...so I fixed it! :-)
