Reluctant Jumper at Inks Lake

I took this shot last weekend while visiting Inks Lake State Park in Burnet, Texas. Luckily the idiot on top of the highest rock never actually jumped!

What a great capture! It looks so much like the "Bee Cliffs" (although there are hundreds of wasp nests there) on Lake Buchanan where my son and his friends would jump when they were young. We checked the water with our boat's depth gauge beforehand but most of our kids jumped from the levels that would be more left of camera position! I actually tried it once...NEVER again, it hurt! Did you get any shots of a kid mid-jump? Great Summer in Texas idea! Thanks for a trip down memory lane.

I have a shot just like this of kids at Travis Lake with a kid in mid air. I agree! It hurts!! Kids are invincible though. Good Kids Playing shot also.

Thanks Cindi and Shirley!

I not sure I got any mid-jump shots because there wasn't that much action at the time I was there. This particular group of kids spent much more time working up their nerve than jumping! :-)

Cheers!

Nice vertical pano. I like the composition and the format you chose adds to the idea of height.

Here I go again. I would love to see this image cropped down so that you only have trees behind the boy. I think it would really simplify the image and make the boy on the rock stand out even more.

Really good eye to see this one. Again, a great example of a ordinary scene being very well captured.

Good job.

Thanks Larry and Patrick!

I glad you like it!

Patrick - I can see that you are correct about the crop! I'll use your comment as motivation to help me think more about the crop of an image before I call it quits!

Cheers!
