NY Trip - Day 14

We departed Savannah, Georgia and arrived in Destin, Florida today. We'll be hear today and tomorrow and then travel back home to Houston on Sunday.

Here are a couple of shots of sailboats I took at sunset today.

Title: "Destin Sailboat 1"

Title: "Destin Sailboat 2"

I like both. In the cat picture the sky is the star of the show. In the lower shot I think you got the best angle of the twin masted schooner that you could have gotten. And the less dramatic sky keeps the sailboat the subject.

I like the top photo the best, but then again I am generally a sucker for sunrise/sunset shots.

Since the sunset is the star of the show, I would probably do two things: clone out the water tower (adds nothing to your beautiful sunset) and crop from the bottom just below the boat (which would add importance to the sunset).

Good job, again and we're all ready for your return!

Good shot! I never know whether to put such a targeted boat in the center of the frame or move it to the left and give it space into which to sail. If you ever intend to print the image check for dust.

I like the top photo best also.

I have to agree with Larry P. to clone out the water tower and crop some off the bottom.

Wayne is right about the dust spots being removed before you churn out a print.

This is definitely a nice wall hanger though.

Thanks Larry, Patrick, Wayne and Doug!

I like these shots and will probably spend some time on them incorporating your suggestions. I can't believe I missed the dust spots! I almost always catch and fix those! Who was it that said "Out out damn spot!?" Some Shakesphere character me thinks! :-)

Cheers!
