Nice job of correcting the lens distortion. At first I was a little bother by the out of focus areas [I'm thinking from the HDR rather than lens/optics] but after a moment my concern went away. Nice mysterious gritty B&W photo.

Thanks Larry!

It's not as sharp as it could be so I guess that's because I wanted it to be "artsy"! :-)

Cheers!

This would make an interesting place to shoot some portraits, don't you think?

I have never heard of this place before, what a fantastic building and a fascinating story. I agree with Steve, this would be a great location for a photo shoot, maybe even at night...with someone guarding us though! I think you did a very good job of an artsy image with this one.

I think that the image is a nice one also but without much light why would it be a good place to shoot portraits?

Thanks Steve, Cindi, and Wayne!

Steve - I agree... this would be a pretty cool spot for a photo shoot. Now I just need to find a model type willing to travel with me (for free :-).

Wayne - It would be a cool portrait location just by virtue of being unusual. These type of abandoned structures seem to be used a lot for portraits these days, expecially if you want to go in a gritty / grunge direction with the photos.

Cheers!

Fine grunge photo. You did a really good job of showing the depth of the building. I think that the black and white treatment is perfect for this one.
