George Observatory

We took the RV up to Brazos Bend State Park in Needville, Texas this weekend. This shot is of the George Observatory located in the park. The weather was uncooperative so we weren't able to actually view any stars but we did enjoy a tour of the telescope and facilities.

Title: "George Observatory"

As my grandson would say: Cool!

On our way back from Santa Fe, JD and I stopped at Fort Davis to see the observatory. Unfortunately for me, I do not think I got anything this good.

I really like how the steps help the overall composition and give some color to the image.

Good job.

I like the shot as well, especially the red light stands in the middle of the shot. I do think it might be improved [slightly] if the grass were a stop lighter to show some additional detail and lighten up the foreground.

Thanks Patrick and Larry!

Patrick - I hope you were able to actually see some stars when you visited the Fort Davis observatory!

Larry - I like the red lights as well. The little bits of read makes the shot I think.

Cheers!
