Just back from another weekend of RVing. This weekend we went to Rockport, Texas with a couple of side trips to Corpus Christi and one side trip to Port Aransas. This shot was taken near historic downtown Rockport.
Camera / Lens: Canon 40D / 17-55mm f/2.8 zoom
Post-processing: Photoshop CS3 > Topaz Adjust Plugin Custom Settings to adjust brightness, contrast, noise and color > Duplicated Layer and clone to remove dust spots > Merge Visible to New Layer > Gaussian Blur to smooth out the sky (by masking off all but the sky) > Merge Visible to New Layer > Add New Layer and paint with 5% white in overlay mode to lighten the transition between the brighter and darker layers which minimized some halos created in the earlier post processing

Nice vignette of a classic seaside town with well done post-processing.
Once again, you have done a really good job of capturing an everyday scene. I like colors the various light are showing. I also like the way the TEXAS flag is blowing in the wind--it adds a real dynamic aspect to the image.
Good work, again.
Very dynamic. I love what you've done with the picture. I think I may like it more if the shack was a bit farther to the left instead of quite so centered as it is.

By the way, was this an HDR? I notice the Texas flag is a big overlapped. Just a suggestion but I think it would be less distracting if it were fixed :)
Cheers!

Right away, I noticed the pretty moon in the sky. Perfect!

Thanks for the comments everyone!
I really like the Texas flag and the moon as subtle elements of the shot.
Lsanian - No, this isn't an HDR, just a long exposure that caught the flags moving in the wind.
Cheers!
