Flash Again

Here's one more shot from the my flash photography outing the other night. This one was completely Emma's idea.

Title: "Flash #3"

Camera / Lens: Canon 40D / Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 zoom
Post-processing: Photoshop CS3 > Duplicate Background Layer > Topaz Adjust plugin "Psychedelic" preset > Duplicate Layer > Diffuse Anisotropic > Duplicate Layer > High Pass Sharpening in Hard Light blending mode

Emma had a good idea here, only I would have been tempted to clone out the connecting piece of equipment on the left of the photo. This would have left the "pod" seemingly floating in mid air.

Is it really your photograph or Emma's? Either way, I like it.

I think that the blown-out portions of the photo add significantly to the image. The pose and the lighting makes you stop and study the photo more closely to make sure that you understand what it happening.

Good job.

I actually favor this photo over the other one Barry. It just has a totally different "feel" to it.

Good job.
