Guadalupe Cypress

Today's post is a shot from an RV trip we took a few weeks ago. The shot was taken on the Guadalupe River side of Canyon Lake Dam in the early morning. It's a pretty low key image but I think the light in the early morning sky and on the water and the hint of fog over the water in the background make the image interesting in spite of being dark. Hope you like it!

What - No HDR!! Nice shot. Your right of course, at least a little more detail in the shadows would have been nice. Should have busted out the Pocket Wizzards for a little fill-flash.

Thanks Larry!

I made an HDR image but I found that the more of the shadows I revealed the less I liked the image. I guess I like this version more because of the mystery it presents and because it gives more contrast to the sky and water this way.

Cheers!
