Blanco River Hang Out

Taken this past weekend in Wimberley, Texas. If you drive along the Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas you will see a great many of these riverside decks. Some are simple construction and some are more elaborate, most have been there for many years. It's winter now and no one is in the water but you can still hear the kids laughing and the water splashing if you listen hard enough!

Title: "Blanco River Hang Out"

Nice composition Barry. Nice texture with the tree limbs on the top and great color in the reflection on the bottom give the shot a lot of interest.

Thanks Larry!

I don't remember even being aware that the reflection was there when I took the photo. It turned out to be one of those nice surprises you sometimes get when you look at your photos on the computer screen!

Cheers!

I might be a little off on this comment but it seems like you have two separate photos here--one of the water and dock and one of the building. I like the combination of the two, but I wonder if one of just the water, the reflection and the dock might be a stronger image.

Thanks Patrick!

I think your right about the composition. I'm headed back to Wimberley tomorrow so I should have a chance to redo the shot.

Cheers!
