#576. Rocket Science (rollover)
Taken yesterday at NASA's Johnson Space Center. I wanted to showcase some of the incredible mechanics of this rocket engine so I'm presenting that on the top image with the underlying image being the entire frame in order to provide some context to the more detailed crop.

This is an interesting way to present a closeup. I wonder if a black and white conversion, with maybe the background darkened, would make the details and all the lines and squiggles of the hoses and tubes stand out even more?...or maybe only desaturate the metal studs in the background? They seem to compete with my eye for the main subject somewhat. But this is certainly an image that shows some mind-boggling human invention.
Cool! Reminds me of Terry Gilliam's "Brazil", and if it were black, it would look very "Alien" :)

I did convert this to black and white after reviewing your comments and it did in fact look cool! I'll add the black and white version on to the bottom of one of my posts later this week.
