This was near the beginning of the grand finale last Friday night as Bay Area Photo Club members photographed fireworks at the Rock the Dock event on the Kemah Boardwalk. I took the photo from the Seabrook side of Galveston Bay.

Nice, I even like this one better than "#1".

Thanks Larry and MIL!
I haven't finished processing all my fireworks shots yet but I have a feeling this one's going to be hard to beat! :-)
Cheers!

Wow, another impressive shot! The depth and the layering you captured is wonderful, and of course the color too. What was your aperture and shutter speed for these?
Thanks Cindi!
All I did was follow Mark Westerman's instructions. tripod, remote shutter release, f/13 in bulb mode; I held the trigger on yesterday's pic for 5 seconds and 3 seconds for today's post. Getting a good exposure has a little luck involved to be sure but Mark had cautioned against capturing more than two or three explosions in one frame because after that it would tend to overexpose due to the brightness.
Cheers!
Barry
