Windswept Trees

If you've ever driven down Fulton Beach Drive in Fulton, Texas then you've noticed these ancient windswept oak trees. Subjected to constant wind off of Aransas Bay over the decades these trees are bent but not broken. I guess these guys have had a hard life compared to the relatively upright pine trees dominating a lot of the southeast Texas landscape. :-)

Good treatment of the subject. I think the sepia toning complements the age of the trees, which you know must be a few hundred years. I also like the crop. It makes you look at and study the trees. Good job.

I've been looking at this one for a couple of days. I've decided that I like it OK as a stand alone shot but think it would really work well as a base image for a grouping or tryptic. To me it lacks something on it own, maybe some detail, or the grossly subjective "drama."

Thanks Patrick and Larry!

Larry - A tryptic is a good idea. I have some other shots and the combination of three might help to add "drama". Thanks for the suggestion!

Cheers!
