Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

Snow in Houston, Texas? Clear Lake City no less! It started about 6:00PM and hasn't stopped yet (as of 10:00PM). Highly unusual for Houston!

Title: "Ice Flower"

Taken with on camera flash.

Title: "Snowy Green"

20 second exposure (on a tripod of course!).

You scooped me. I went out last night to get a few shots--not sure what I got since I did not even download them. I was thinking about doing a second post today and being the first guy on the block. But no, Mr. Barry had other ideas. Nice shots and ones that us Houston-boys do not get a chance of taking very often.

Thanks Patrick!

I'm looking forward to seeing what your shots! We get so little snow around here (for those not from the Houston area our last appreciable snowfall was December 24, 2004) I wasn't sure what to shoot or how to shoot it!

Cheers!

Hi Dad! It's Emma.
I love this picture, it's fantastical... where did you go? Did you make a snowball? I think you should have.

Hello Sweet Emma!

I'm glad you like it! I took it at a golf course in Bay Oaks subdivision about 9:30PM last night. There was some moonlight so it turned out pretty nice!

No. I didn't make a snowball and yes I probably should have but I guess I just wanted to preserve the snow for other photographers!

Cheers!

I like the second black and white image a lot with the shoreline leading you right to the tree. I just couldn't make myself go out last night in that weather --- cudos to you!

Thanks Cindi!

I had to do some serious talking to myself to make myself get out there! Having to have shots for a daily blog update helped provide a little extra motivation! :-)

Cheers!
