#626. Tail Gun

Taken Saturday morning at the Wings Over Houston airshow. I wouldn't have liked being an enemy pilot charged with attacking this plane in WWII and finding myself looking at this!

Title: "Tail Gun"

Camera / Lens: Canon 40D / Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 zoom
Post-processing: Photomatix Pro to combine seven exposures into one HDR (High Dynamic Range) image > Photoshop CS4 > Topaz Adjust plugin

Nice shot Barry. The lens flare in this one gives some extra life to what might otherwise be a static shot. Although to me if may have just a little too much flare - still thinking about it.

As far as I can see, you broke about 1,000 different RULES shooting into the sun like this! I love it. I do find that the right side of the photo has more interest than the left. Did you think about cropping it (make sure you get the Texas flag in the crop)? If you cropped it, I think the sun and the lens flare would be a stronger leading line to the guns. Nice job.
