#623. Humble Fisherman

Taken this past Saturday at Kemah Boardwalk in Kemah, Texas. I really enjoyed watching this man fishing. This was no frills fishing to be sure. It looks to my eye like the boat is homemade. No fancy rod and reel; just fishing line with a hook on the end tossed away from the boat and retrieved hand over hand, usually with a fish on the hook! In this area where at any given time you can sit and watch a million dollars worth of boats pass every minute it was fun to see a down-to-earth reminder that there are always simpler options.

I am surprised that you were able to pull off an HDR image with a boat bouncing around in the water. Like the added details that the HDR gives to the image. I think a little vignetting would help focus my view on the boat

Nice capture Barry. This fellow must fish here often because I photographed him in the same spot a year or two ago.
