Taken this past weekend in New Braunfels, Texas. I ran across this whimsical carousel in front of the Schlitterbahn Christmas Shoppe.

Title: "New Braunfels Carousel"

Camera / Lens: Canon 5D Mark II / Canon 24-105mm L zoom
Post-processing: Photomatix Pro to combine three exposures (-2, 0, +2 into one HDR (High Dynamic Range) photo > Photoshop CS4 > Topaz Adjust plugin

Hi Barry!
Liked the surreal effect of the photo!

Nice job on the post processing Barry. It probably wasn't available but it's seems like a higher vantage point on this one might have eliminated the fence from the foreground and picked up some extra top to the ride. Where's that step ladder when you need it!

Were there any children in the area?

Thanks Marco, Larry and Wayne!

Larry - No ladder but I did climb on top of a bench for this photo! It was a tough shot to do anything with for sure!

Wayne - This was very early in the morning. I don't think anyone was awake but me! :-)

Cheers!
Barry

Great colors and details. The whole photo has vintage look to it that makes you want to go back to a more relaxed time.

Thanks Patrick!

I agree with you! If it had been running I would have liked to take a ride!

Cheers!
