#762. A Prayer for Rain

Taken this last weekend at St. John the Baptist Church in Ammansville, Tx. Ammansville is pretty much in the middle of the tinderbox created by the current drought in central Texas.

#692. Outside the Shrine by the Bay

Here an exterior shot of the shrine featured in yesterday's post. It's hard to imagine that everything shown in yesterday's interior shot fit into a structure that looks so small from the outside.

#672. Starburst Cross

Taken yesterday at Sagemont Church in Houston, Texas. This 170 foot tall cross was constructed two years ago on February 7, 2009. It is clearly visible from several major freeways in Houston and I've been meaning to photograph it for quite some time.

#594. Steeple Under Wraps

Taken at lunch today. This church steeple, located near the museum district in Houston, has been under construction (renovation) for some time now. I have always been in awe of the engineering that goes into building the scaffolding required for a big job like this.
