I ran into this character at the Texas Renaissance Festival in Magnolia, Texas on Saturday while on a field trip with the Bay Area Photo Club.
Title: "Renaissance Man"
Shot Data: 1/125s f/5.6 at 275.0mm iso320 Camera / lens: Canon 40d / Canon 100-400mm L zoom Post-processing: Adobe Camera Raw > Tapaz Adjust plugin > Red Paw Media Bleach Bypass
Definitely not one of the prettier sights from Saturday, but very memorable. This happens to be an Orc from medieval times. Nice capture. Great job on controlling the light and using it to good effect.
The sharpness of Orc versus the soft bokah of the background make this portrait. I do wish that the left side of the background was the same green that the right side is. I think it would help Orc stand out--as if he needs something to make him stand out.

ReplyDeleteNice portrait Barry. Or, well, a, you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely frightening! Are you sure this shot wasn't left over from Halloween? Never heard of an Orc....but he has pretty eyes.

ReplyDeleteReal nice job with detail and exposure! "Pretty Eyes" looks like someone I used to work with.
