This shot had a lot of distortion resulting from being very close to the subject and using a wide angle lens (24mm on a full frame camera)! I did run it through the lens correction filter where I ended up correcting about 60% of the problem; at which point I had to make a choice between additional corrections and keeping all of what I considered to be the valuable portions of the photo. I know you know Jan, but others reading this post may not, that this correction reshapes the image and must be followed by a crop and a resultant loss of some of the image (or some other additional processing to “fill in” the lost data). In short, since I'm not usually bothered by a little distortion in an image, I "settled" for a partial fix.
Nice image. Like the composition and having the sun in the frame.
ReplyDeleteI might try the lens correction filter in Photoshop to correct the perspective distortion.
Thanks Jan!
