Old Liberty Bridge #2

Here is another shot taken on my trip to Liberty, Texas last weekend.

Camera / Lens: Canon 40D / Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 zoom
Post-processing: Photoshop CS3 > Black and White Conversion Layer to convert to Black and White > Merge Visible to New Layer > Topaz Adjust pluging to adjust exposure to reveal some detail of the structure under the bottom of the bridge > Merge Visible to New Layer > High Pass Sharpening > Levels Adjustment Layer to set black and white points

    Hmm. This is nice too. But you don't get the sense that it's no longer in use. Many similar looking bridges are still in use.

    I think I liked your previous post better. Just wondering if you walked closer if you could find a similar grass view, but more separation between the beams.

    Anyway - I like the B&W treatment. A while ago I started on a personal project to photograph all the historic bridges of WA (if they were listed on the registry). I'm only 1/3rd through and haven worked on it in a while. But if you're interested: WA Bridges

    I didn't find any similar spot any closer but I may have just missed it! Luckily the bride is still there and I can always try again.

    Your series is really nice! I especially like the Deception Pass shots! Good luck getting the other 2/3 of the collection!

    I agree with Jan (to a point). It could be any bridge, any where. But, that is what makes it cool, in a way. When I first looked at the image, I thought, "I've seen that bridge." But then, I read where the photo was taken and could not ever recall being there.
