This bridge has a lot more personality.
ReplyDeleteWell done. Nice shot with lots of interest.
ReplyDeleteBarry I like this bridge a lot more too. But I get a feeling of being pushed to the left by all the foliage on the right...have you thought of cropping it square and getting rid of most of the bush? I really like the texture of the old boards with the light hitting them and I like how the bridge is at the top of the image. The weeds or algae in the water adds a lot of texture to the foreground too. The orange of the tree is nice with that dark, stormy sky.

Thanks Jan, Larry and Cindi!
ReplyDeleteCindi - I think you are right about the crop! I have a strong tendency to stick with the proportions of the sensor on my camera even when I do crop. I really need to watch out for that!
Thanks again for your comments everyone!
Cheers!

I would like to see the square version posted with the majority of the shrubs cropped out. I would definitely leave the caladiums in the bottom right corner. I think it will totally change the photo by giving it more depth. Awesome shot Barry.

ReplyDeleteI just posted the new (and improved) version of this photo with a square crop! I hope you like it better (I do)!
Cheers!
